Providing the keys to your kingdom and helping you get there

Offering familiar freindly and professional support

ABOUT US
  • Good Habits is the creation of Warwick and Trecia Greenwood, together we begin a new journey to provide a reliable and professional support to NDIS participants. We will be focused on a small client base, ensuring our care will be very familiar and customised to participants. We will work closely with participants, their family and their supporters to customise a plan and a direction to ensure we provide the best support possible to our clients. We offer flexible arrangements and are open to all ideas that provide a safe environment for participants to enjoy.
About Trecia
ABOUT TRECIA I first came to Australia in 2007 with my now Husband Warwick and after working on Cruise Ships for a couple of years we returned to Australia and have since made Darwin our home. Growing up, I lived in a large extended family group, I was raised in an environment where our door was always open to people in need, and these are values that have shaped me today. Living in Australia has given me a chance to make a career out of doing what I love and giving people the life and opportunities that everyone deserves. For the past eight years, I have been caring for children in out-of-home care. This has been a most rewarding experience, and nothing makes me prouder than to see a child who has stayed with us to move on and thrive. I look forward to this new adventure with Good Habitz, the experiences of Warwick and myself will make an excellent team and we will give participants the tools and support they need to achieve their own goals and dreams. Providing support to NDIS participants feels like a natural transition for me and it is something that I have been planning and working towards for some time now.
ABOUT Warwick
I have lived in Darwin for eighteen years now and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, we are here to stay. For the past eleven years, I have been working at the Darwin Correctional Centre, for the most part working with people with disabilities and those deemed "unfit to plea" due to mental health impairment.
I have also worked in the past in casinos and kitchens but have always believed in taking a career change every ten to fifteen years. This is the beginning of the next chapter for me. For the past twelve months, I have juggled between working in the prison and being an NDIS provider. To take a phrase from my casino and poker days, am now ready to take a leap of faith, leaving corrections behind me and going "all in" as a support provider to NDIS participants.
As mentioned, I am here to stay in Darwin and will be a reliable and professional Support Worker, I will provide stability to participants who can take comfort in knowing that I will be there. I will be there and the stress of getting a new support worker every few months will not be a concern..

Good Habitatz (Improved living arrangements)

Short term accommodation(STA) available now and Supported independent living (SIL) coming soon... We currently have a room available for short terms stays. The room has it's own bathroom and a double-bed. The room provides a good balance of independence where suitable and support on hand when required. In June, we expect to be adding a two-bedroom unit to our portfolio to be available to NDIS participants seeking Supported independent living.

Assistance with every day life

Here, we encourage participants to engage in as our name suggests " good habits". Whether that be routines to make the day easier or making small changes for large results. We will encourage participants to get to and engage in all appointments and ensure they get there on time every time.

Transport

We are currently awaiting the arrival of our new vehicle, a brand new 4WD making it possible for us to reach participants wherever they are or for those living local to travel in style and comfort. We expect to have this new addition within the month. In the mean time we have two vehicles available to provide safe and comfortable transport to participants.

Respite support for independent NDIS providers

As independent providers, we want to feel confident our NDIS participants are in good hands while we take a much-needed break. We will provide a constant alternative to participants ensuring they feel comfortable and happy about the change in their routine while you are away.

Increased social and community participation

This is our favourite service and in the words of a great European friend of mine "the world is your lobster". Here, we will advocate to take you on as many adventures that your heart desires. We have a list of places that we love to share and enjoy and we also love to hear from you, the participant. Sure we will love to enjoy a coffee on the Nightcliff foreshore, however we hope that this is just time we are discussing a greater adventure for the day.

About Warwick
ABOUT For the past eleven years I have been working at the Darwin Corrrectional Centre. For most of that time, I have worked in the Complex Behaviour Unit with those deemed unfit to plead due to mental health circimstances.
In the past twelve months, I have been providing services to NDIS participants on a part time basis, providing other service providers the opportunity to take a break.
Now after eleven years of working in the prison I am looking for change and my time working with NDIS has been enjoyable and something that I would like to build on.
